Hamed's music has stirred controversy among conservative crowds due to the explicit nature of his lyrics. We think Hamed is a shining beacon for the LGBTQ community of Lebanon in particular, a country that still has anti-gay laws. He also represents what it means to be queer and from the Middle East, a region notorious for having some of the worst LGBTQ rights in the world.
